Storms Approaching

“Look at that!” said Jane, slowing her stride. A pewter sky hugged the hills before us while the evening sun cast its light against the trees. The contrast stunned us both. I snapped the shot above … and see, Jane, it shows at least half the majesty! (No color edit.)
High-tailing it up the ridge, Jane and I felt grateful to be clad for rain. We’ve been less prepared before and have never suffered in the deluge. Walking into a storm with a good friend is one of the best sorts of adventures. Neither of us would ever cancel on account of “weather.” We show up for each other, and for our friendship, and for the Earth in all circumstances and in the most creative ways. Gardening, cooking, housesitting, and in the Joy Collective, Jane and her family have been side by side with mine through all the seasons. This is the best of fortune.
Who do you want beside you in inclement weather? How do you bring a sense of adventure to the storm that brews ahead?
